Negotiations on the peacekeeping contingent will be held between Moscow and Baku, Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Evdakimov stated this in an interview with Izvestia, Paralel.Az's Moscow correspondent reports.

The ambassador noted that this topic is very important: “After the completion of the counter-terrorism operation, Russian peacekeepers, together with Azerbaijani forces, are patrolling the territory, protecting buildings and cultural structures.

Now the dates of the next round of negotiations between Moscow and Baku on our peacekeeping contingent are being agreed upon with the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry; its terms of stay expire in 2025.”
