Blinken: US to allocate $717 million in humanitarian aid to Kyiv
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced the allocation of humanitarian aid to Ukraine totaling $717 million (€635 million), Paralel.Az reports citing DW.
The head of US diplomacy and his British counterpart David Lammy visited Kiev on Wednesday, September 11.
$290 million will be allocated for humanitarian aid itself — providing millions of Ukrainians with basic services, including food, drinking water, and medicine. Another $325 million will be allocated to restore Ukraine's energy and power grids. In addition, Kyiv will receive $102 million to clear landmines and munitions "that Russia has left all over Ukraine," Blinken added.
