As a part of the 148th Assembly of the Inter-parliamentary Union in Geneva, a meeting has been held between Azerbaijani and British delegations within the framework of the meeting of Permanent Committee on Sustainable Development, Paralel.Az reports.

Discussion has been conducted on different aspects of cooperation at the meeting, attended by members of Azerbaijani Parliament Soltan Mammadov and Sevil Mikayilova.

The members of the Azerbaijani delegation have provided information about the measures implemented by our country in connection with the preparation for the COP29 session. Within the framework of the cooperation of the Milli Majlis with the Inter-Parliamentary Union, opinions have been exchanged on the discussions planned to be organized at the COP29 event. The need to encourage the active participation of parliaments in the fight against global climate change has been noted. The importance of mutual visits for discussing future directions of cooperation within the framework of the Inter-Parliamentary Union has been emphasized.
