On September 20, a new round of political consultations was held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Lithuania in Vilnius, the Azerbaijani Ministry told Paralel.Az.

It was noted that the Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev, while the Lithuanian delegation was headed by Vice-Foreign Minister Jonas Survila.

During the meeting, the current state and future prospects of political, economic, and humanitarian relations between the two countries were discussed. The importance of continuing high-level reciprocal visits was emphasized. Additionally, the expansion of the legal framework and the importance to intensify interparliamentary cooperation were highlighted.

During the visit, F. Rzayev also met with other Lithuanian officials and participated in roundtable discussions with representatives of think tanks and research centers.
