Baku hosts literary-artistic evening dedicated to Mykola Miroshnichenko and Abbas Abdulla
A literary-artistic evening dedicated to the memory of Ukrainian translator and researcher of Azerbaijani literature, poet Mykola Miroshnichenko and Azerbaijani translator of Ukrainian literature, poet Abbas Abdulla was held at the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Baku, Paralel.Az reports.
Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan Yuriy Husyev, Chairperson of the Ukrainian Women's Union Lidiya Aliyeva-Shestak, literary experts, representatives of Abbas Abdulla's family spoke at the event.
Maryna Goncharuk, the co-founder of the Ukrainian-Turkish Center and the moderator of the event, noted in her speech that poet Mykola Miroshnichenko and poet Abbas Abdulla played an important role in the convergence of Azerbaijani and Ukrainian literature and mutual information of the readers of both countries.
Mir Azer Abdullayev, a well-known artist of Azerbaijan, Nigar Gozalova, doctor of historical sciences, senior researcher of the Institute of History and Ethnology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Nurshan Guliyev, editor-in-chief of Paralel.Az Information Agency, Farhad Jabbarov, deputy director of the National Museum of Azerbaijan History, Representatives of the Youth Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Ukrainian diplomats, representatives of the Ukrainian community, Azerbaijani community etc., participated in the event.
