Azerbaijani, Russian MFAs held next consular consultations

 

On June 25, 2024, the 11th consular consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation were held in Baku, Azerbaijani MFA told Paralel.Az.

Emil Safarov, head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan led the Azerbaijani delegation, and Alexey Klimov, the Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation led the Russian delegation during the consultations.

Officials of the Ministry of Justice and the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan also participated in the meeting.

    During consular consultations, discussions were held on the current state and development prospects of cooperation in the consular field between the two countries, including the signing of bilateral documents in this area and possibilities for the digitalization of consular services.

    The parties discussed the protection of rights and freedoms of citizens of both countries and the provision of consular assistance to them and emphasized the importance of joint efforts aimed at strengthening relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation in fields such as justice, migration, education, and other important fields.

    At the end of the negotiations, the protocol of the meeting was signed by the heads of the delegations of the two countries.
