Plane landed on its fuselage in Antalya as result of a tire explosion, 190 people were evacuated
The plane belonging to Corendon Airlines flying Cologne-Qazipaşa landed on its fuselage in Antalya as a result of the explosion of the front wheel, Paralel.Az reports.
The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye said in its statement that 190 people were evacuated and there were no injuried:
“On 05.09.2024, at around 11:00 a.m., the tire of the B738 airplane flying Cologne- Qazipaşa belonging to Corendon Airlines exploded after landing on the landing strip and its front strut was damaged. A total of 190 people were evacuated from the plane that was on the landing strip, including 184 passengers and 6 crew members. No passengers were injured. According to primary reports, there was no damage to the landing strip. After the inspection of the technical team, the plane will be removed from the strip."
