Latest contributions of EU countries to Azerbaijan in field of demining unveiled- LIST
The latest contributions of the EU member states to Azerbaijan in the field of demining have been unveiled, it was stated at the Team Europe Mine Action Initiative event, Paralel.Az reports.
It was noted that Italy allocated EUR 500,000 to the ICRC for an operational donation, Germany EUR 560,000 for a project encouraging the banning of mines in the South Caucasus and joining the Ottawa Convention, France EUR 500,000 for providing metal detectors and 310 demining kits to ANAMA, Slovenia EUR 50 000 within the framework of the cooperation agreement with ANAMA signed in April 2022, Estonia EUR 50,000 for demining activities carried out by the ICRC, Hungary EUR 25,000 to ANAMA for operational donation, and Belgium EUR 250,000 for supporting demining activities of APOPO. Croatia has given mine detection dogs to Azerbaijan.
Italy, Germany, France, Croatia, the Netherlands, and Lithuania will provide the planned additional contributions of the EU Member States with a total amount of approximately EUR 2.75 million
