Portugal summons Iran envoy over Gulf ship seizure
The Iranian ambassador was summoned to the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry released information in this regard, Paralel.Az reports.
The Portuguese Foreign Ministry summoned the Iranian ambassador to vehemently condemn the recent attack carried out against the State of Israel.
"The meeting also allowed renewing the demand for the immediate release of the MSC Aries ship, arrested in the Strait of Hormuz, in light of Portugal's obligations as a Pavilion State. The release of the crew, which must be adequately treated while the ship remains detained, was also demanded, since the explanations so far provided were found inconsistent," the inistry noted.
