Washington adds two individuals, 18 entities to Russian sanctions list — US Treasury

 

The United States added two individuals and 18 legal entities to the Russian sanctions list, according to the data provided on the website of the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Department of the Treasury, Paralel.Az reports.

The sanctioned individuals are Timur Bukanov and Igor Kaigorodov. The US Treasury added to the sanctions lists 15 Russian-based companies and three foreign companies based in Cyprus, the UAE and Estonia.

In particular, the list includes the following companies: Echelon Technologies, Echelon Innovations, Project Consulting Bureau Echelon, Cybersecurity Laboratory, Atomaiz , Crypto Explorer, B-Crypto, Key Information Systems, Laitkhaus, Sistemy Raspredelennogo Reyestra, Tsentr Obrabotki Elektronnykh Platezhey, Veb3 Integrator and Veb3 Tekhnologii. The list also includes Estonia-based Bitfingroup OU, Bitpapa IC (UAE) and Tokentrust Holdings Ltd. (Cyprus).

According to a statement released by the press service of the US State Department, restrictions on the listed companies and individuals were introduced allegedly "for operating in the financial services and technology sectors of the Russian Federation economy including persons developing or offering services in virtual assets that enable the evasion of U.S. sanctions."

Inclusion on the sanctions list means freezing assets in the United States and prohibiting American citizens and companies from doing business with those involved.
