Armenian NSS announces detention of Azerbaijani Army serviceman who got lost in Lachin due to unfavorable weather conditions
National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia has confirmed the report on the detention of the serviceman of the Azerbaijani Army who got lost in Lachin due to unfavorable weather conditions, Paralel.Az reports.
According to the NSS, on February 28, at 05:15, a serviceman of the Azerbaijan Armed Forces crossed the contact line in the direction of Tegh community of Syunik province at the Azerbaijan-Armenia conventional border.
It is noted that the Azerbaijani serviceman was detained by the soldiers of the Armenian army.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident.
Note that, according the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on the morning of February 28, a soldier of the Azerbaijan Army, Panakhov Ruslan Eldaniz, due to unfavorable weather conditions became disoriented and got lost while moving between service positions in the territory of the Lachin region. The immediate search activities to find the serviceman are being continued. The public will be provided with additional information about the incident.
