Today, several servicemen of the Patriotic War (44-day Second Karabakh War) held a protest rally in front of the Ministry of Defense.
They were unhappy with the deprivation of military awards. According to the protesters,
“Despite the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev on awarding, respecting and caring for war veterans, our merits were not appreciated. Those who served in the rear received medals, but they forgot about us, ”he said.
A Defense Ministry spokesman told the protesters that the matter would be investigated. The action ended without incident.
