On August 26, Poland deployed aircraft to its southeast due to the threat of Russian missile attacks on western Ukraine, the Polish Army's Operational Command said, Paralel.Az reports.

“Since this morning, there has been intense activity by the Russian Federation's long-range aviation, with air strikes targeting locations, particularly in the western part of Ukraine,” the statement said.

The Operational Command warned of a possible increase in noise levels due to the start of flights by Polish and allied aircraft in the country's southeastern part.

Poland noted that the last such activation of Russian aviation, during which strikes were carried out in Western Ukraine, occurred on July 8 of this year.

“All necessary procedures have been activated to ensure the safety of Polish airspace, and the Polish Operational Command is continuously monitoring the situation,” the Polish Army Operational Command added.
