Based on the latest results of the population census, the number of Azerbaijani people as of March 1, 2024 was 10,187,539 people, increasing 6,769 people or 0,1%, State Statistics Committee told Paralel.Az.

54,5% of the population is urban, 45,5% is rural and 49,8% is men while 50,2% is women.
