2 UAVs “landed” in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod

Near Nizhny Novgorod, electronic warfare equipment (EW) shot down two unmanned aerial vehicles, according to a source in law enforcement, Paralel.Az reports citing RIA News.

“Two UAVs belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to reach Nizhny Novgorod at extremely low altitudes in order to avoid detection by air defense systems. “The flight took place tonight, the drones were moving from the direction of the Ryazan region at an altitude of about 50 meters,” he said.

It was noted that the unmanned aerial vehicles were neutralized thanks to the operation of electronic warfare equipment that “landed” the unmanned aerial vehicles in the Kstovski district of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Upon examination of the neutralized UAVs, it was revealed that they were filled with explosives that did not explode in a hard landing.

No one was injured as a result of the operation.
