Archbishop Galstanyan gives Armenia PM 1 hour to resign-UPDATED-1

Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, Primate of the Diocese of Tavush of the Armenian Apostolic Church, stated this during Thursday’s rally at Republic Square in Yerevan, noting that he is giving Armenian PM Pashinyan’s name for the first time, Paralel.Az reports citing news.am.

"I am ready to meet [with you] within one hour and discuss all the conditions for [you] leaving [the PM’s post]. You no longer have any form of power in the Republic of Armenia," Archbishop Galstanyan said, addressing Pashinyan.

The huge rally of the Tavush for the Motherland movement led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, Primate of the Diocese of Tavush of the Armenian Apostolic Church, has started at Republic Square in Armenia’s capital Yerevan, Paralel.Az reports citing news.am.

Archbishop started his speech at the rally with an anthem of Armenia and protesters sang with him.

The participants of the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement have reached Armenia's capital, Yerevan, Paralel.Az reports citing Armenian media.

On May 4, the march of the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement, which started from the Tavush region, reached Yerevan. It has been reported that the participants of the march have already proceeded towards Republic Square. They plan to hold a rally at Republic Square at 16:00 local time.

Recall that the protest march started after the agreement was reached on starting the delimitation from the Tavush region according to the results of the eighth meeting of the state commissions on border delimitation between Azerbaijan and Armenia on April 19. The march to Yerevan started on May 4 led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan and will end today at Republic Square.
