White House says they have no funds for new aid to Ukraine

The United States no longer has the funds to provide Ukraine with new packages of military aid, states White House National Security Council Coordinator John Kirby, Paralel.Az reports citing RBC-Ukraine.

"The President signed out the last security assistance package for which we had replenishment authority funds. That’s it. We need the supplemental passed so that we can provide additional security assistance to Ukraine," stated Kirby.

According to him, every time the U.S. allocates one of the military aid packages, there is always a delay of several days, if not weeks. Therefore, not all the equipment from the latest military aid package has been delivered to Ukraine yet.

"That will come in coming days and weeks. But after that, absent supplemental funding," clarified the White House representative.

He also noted that he is not aware of any quick decisions that could be made to resume the allocation of new defense assistance packages to Ukraine.
