6.6-magnitude quake hits Papua New Guinea

 

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6 jolted 49 km NE of Wewak, Papua New Guinea, at 21:46:50 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said, Paralel.Az reports citing Xinhua.

The epicenter, with a depth of 44.0 km, was initially determined to be at 3.30 degrees south latitude and 144.00 degrees east longitude.
