Azerbaijan sees 5% increase in economic growth
The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) produced in Azerbaijan in January-February 2024 amounted to AZN 18 billion 576,9 million, which is 5% more in comparison with the previous year, Paralel.Az-Economics reports citing the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.
It was noted that the value added in the oil and gas sector of the economy increased by 0,7%, while it increased by 10,1% in the non-oil and gas sector.
39,9% of GDP production was industry, 9,9% in trade, vehicle repair, 7% in transport and warehousing, 5,5% in construction, 2,7% in agriculture, forestry, and fishing, 2,2% in tourist accommodation, and public catering, 1,7% in information and communication fields, 19,8% was other sectors, and net the taxes on products and imports made up 11,3% of GDP.
