US Special Representative to Iran Barry Roseni called for an end to the hunger strike.
US Special Representative to Iran Robert Mali met with Barry Rosen, a former hostage of the US Embassy in Iran, who went on a hunger strike in Vienna.
The Free Iran Telegram reports that the US government in Mali has focused on the issue of hostages being held in Iranian prisons and has asked it to end the hunger strike.
“We are focused on the crisis. I want Mr. Rosen to end his hunger strike for the sake of his health,” Mali tweeted about his meeting with Rosen.
Rosen also called the meeting "very constructive" and said he had held talks with Mr. Mali about the torture of foreign nationals and dual nationals currently being held in Iranian prisons.
