Belarus holds harvest festival to celebrate end of grain season
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko presented state medals to outstanding agricultural workers in the Minsk region during the harvest festival held here on Saturday, Paralel.Az reports.
Lukashenko said that Belarus, with its productive agro-industrial sector, exports quality agricultural products to more than 100 countries.
Belarus will continue to prioritize improving the quality of its agricultural products and maintain its reputation in the world market, he said.
With potato and maize harvesting and fodder processing nearly finished in the Minsk region, and winter crops sown on time, the region is expected to contribute a quarter of the nation's agricultural harvest in 2024, the president added.
During the festival, Volozhin City holds a traditional Belarusian food fair, interactive exhibitions showcasing regional specialties, and displays of agricultural machinery, among other activities.
