Azerbaijan to send dismissed cadets to active military service
It was proposed to send cadets expelled from specialized secondary education institutions to military units for full-term active military service in addition to cadets who were expelled from special purpose higher education institutions that prepare military servicemen, due to their failure, unwillingness to continue their studies or lack of discipline, Paralel.Az reports.
According to the information, this was reflected in the draft law "On approving the Regulation on military service" and "On amendment to the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan on military duty and military service".
The document also proposes to improve the special purpose secondary education system that prepares military personnel, to complete with military personnel who have graduated from special specialized secondary education institutions that train military personnel in order to increase the interest of students in entering those educational institutions, the positions of ensigns and midshipmen. A number of other changes are also envisaged in the draft law.
The draft law was discussed at today's meeting of the defense, security and counter-corruption committee of the Milli Majlis and recommended to the plenary session of the parliament.
