The banking sector of Azerbaijan made a net profit of AZN 407.5 mln in January-April of 2024, which is 18% more than the corresponding period of the previous year, Paralel.Az-Economics reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

The banking sector of Azerbaijan made a net profit of AZN 345.2 mln in January-April of 2023.

During this period, banks' operating income increased by 14% to AZN 585 mln.

In four months of 2024, banks paid AZN 89.9 mln profit tax.
