Technical and economic studies are being conducted regarding the construction of the new nuclear power plant (NPP) in Armenia, Armenian telegram channels released information citing Ministry of Infrastructure, Paralel.Az reports.

According to the information, American organizations participate in this process too.

It was reported that the expertise would determine which technology and power plant capacity would be more efficient and economically beneficial for the republic.

The U.S. declared at the beginning of April that they are ready to support Armenia in developing nuclear power and ensuring energy security.
