Azerbaijani Ombudsman: Violence against children is serious concern
Exclusion of children, especially girls' from education, early marriage, violence against children in society, family and educational institutions are serious concerns, says the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of Azerbaijan Sabina Aliyeva in her speech in the parliament, Paralel.Az reports.
She said that in order to prevent these situations, immediate steps should be taken to strengthen relations between parents and educational institutions, coordinate the activities of relevant state institutions, and develop legislation: "There is an extremely great need to strengthen awaren ess-raising measures about the negative consequences of violence against children, the inadmissibility of violence and the mechanisms of protection against it, and to increase the number of psychologists in educational institutions according to the number of students by involving professional and specialized psychologists."
