A corresponding construction plan was prepared for the sustainable development of the metro and approved by the Supervisory Board of Baku Metro, said Ruslan Alikhanov, CEO of Azerbaijan Investment Holding (AIH), Paralel.Az reports.

According to him, the construction project of 10 new metro stations in Baku over 5-7 years according to the minimum scenario in the construction project was prioritized.

He added that AZN 194,6 million have been allocated to the construction and reconstruction of the metro and for the purchase of new carriages since 2022.
