2023 was marked by the restoration of Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, said this during his speech at the ministry's year-end report briefing, Paralel.Az reports.

"Despite the open bias and double-mindedness of some circles during this process, Azerbaijan's decisive and principled approach allowed us to overcome the challenges in this direction," the Minister added.

Mr. Bayrmov also touched on relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran: "As a result of the terrorist attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran on January 27, the staff of our embassy was evacuated. At the same time, high-level contacts have taken place between the two countries on the mentioned topic."
