Russian President demands on Armenian PM to lend clarity for aggravation in Russian-Armenian relations - Media

Russian President Vladimir Putin demands head of the Armenian government Nikol Pashinyan personally clarify the reasons for the tension in Russia-Armenia relations, Paralel.Az reports citing Armenia’s Joğovurd publication.

The publication noted that the Government of Russia is very serious this time. Therefore, it will demand not not vague, but more distinct and specific answers from Nikol Pashinyan.

Also, it was added that Pashinyan’s Saint Petersburg visit was eagerly awaited because the Russian government has several questions for him and Putin wants Pashinyan to personally clarify those questions.

According to the publication, it was observed for a long time that, the Armenian Government avoided all the meetings that were organized by Russia’s mediation, but now it seems like Pashinyan’s Government finally gave up the thought of breaking relations with Russia, and he decided to restore relations because he regretted it.

It should be noted that yesterday the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, went on a business trip to St. Petersburg, Russia. The head of the Armenian government participated in the meeting of the Eurasian Supreme Economic Council. Today, Pashinyan will participate in the traditional informal summit of CIS heads of state.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, for his part, called it an excellent opportunity for dialogue between Pashinyan and Putin after a long break.
