Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has delivered a speech at the expanded meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Caspian Littoral States in Miscow, Paralel.Az's Moscow correspondent reports.

Minister noted that the current meeting is held in the conditions of high turbulence in the region, and this highlights the importance of the parties to observe the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and non-use of force clauses of the countries mentioned in the Convention on the Legal Status of the Caspian Sea. Thus, the Caspian Sea will turn into a space for peace, friendship and cooperation.

Minister called for expanding the activity in the direction of increasing the investment attractiveness of the Caspian region and raising the economic competitiveness of the Caspian littoral countries.

The minister drew attention to the fact that Azerbaijan has the largest merchant navy in the Caspian Sea: "At the same time, our country is working towards the modernization of the Alat Sea Port to expand the turnover of cargo."
