The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell has held a phone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the EU High Representative noted on his X account, Paralel.Az reports.

"Spoke to Hossein Amir Abdollahian on the situation in Gaza and the West Bank. The solution can only be political, centred on two states. We must prevent any regional spill over. Urged Iran to use its influence and to actively work towards avoiding any further escalation in the region," Borrell noted.
