Heavy gunfire and shelling have been reported in the north and east of the Gaza Strip, Paralel.Az reports citing Aljazeera.

The Israeli army has issued a statement saying that it has resumed fighting against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

Reports of rockets and gunfire had emerged in the hour before the truce expired at 7am on Friday. Israel says that Hamas violated the truce by firing into Israel territory. There are now reports of heavy gunfire and shelling in the north and east of the enclave.
