Roadmap for digitalization of Trans-Caspian corridor was discussed

 

Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov met with the executive secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Tatiana Molchan within the SPECA (UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asian Countries) Week held in Baku, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan told Paralel.Az-Economics.

According to information, the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals between Azerbaijan and UNECE, as well as the presence of close cooperation within the SPECA program, were noted at the meeting. It was emphasized that the SPECA Week held in Baku is useful in terms of development of relations between Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries in economic and trade, digitalization of transport infrastructure, transition to "green" economy, energy and other fields. In this regard, Azerbaijan's efforts were appreciated.

Note that the parties exchanged views on the priority directions of Azerbaijan-UNECE cooperation and the issues on the agenda, discussed the possibilities of promoting trade, innovation and public-private partnership, the prospects of relations within the SPECA region, and the realization of the road map for the digitalization of the Trans-Caspian corridor.
