According to the head of the department, Bahlul Taklavi, bird flu was detected in a village in the province of Germi.
He said there is a high risk of spreading the disease because the region is on the migratory route of migratory birds.
"The province of Ardabil is one of the five most dangerous provinces in the country in terms of the possible spread of avian influenza," said the head of the General Veterinary Directorate.
