These actions will reduce tensions and create space for a peaceful negotiation process to urgently demarcate the border. The United States stands ready to assist in these efforts.
"The United States calls on the parties to return to substantive talks as soon as possible under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to achieve a lasting political solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," the statement said.
