As part of the COP29 event held in Baku, the "Caspian Sea and Sustainable Development: Environmental Protection" discussion was organized by the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations.

The event was attended by representatives of civil society from Caspian littoral countries, environmental experts, and international specialists. The conference included extensive discussions on the ecological status of the Caspian Sea, existing threats, prospects, and potential solutions.

At the opening of the event, Aygun Aliyeva, Executive Director of the State Support Agency for NGOs, and Nigar Arpadarai, Climate Change High-Level Champion of COP29, highlighted the regional and global importance of protecting the Caspian Sea.

The event continued with panel discussions.
