Azerbaijan Chamber of Accounts Chairman: First time in recent years, the initial price of oil in the budget set at $70
"Determining the changes to the budget rule are only planned for the end of the medium-term period," the Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Vugar Gulmammadov said during a discussion on the "State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025" draft law at a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee for Economic Policy, Industries, and Enterprising, Paralel.Az reports.
The Chamber Chairman noted that, unlike the previous year, macroeconomic indicators and scenarios were not included in the budget draft, and an increase in current and debt service expenditures is projected amid a decrease in basic expenditures: "For the first time in recent years, the initial price of oil in the budget has been set at USD 70. We share concerns regarding this risk indicator reflected in the explanation."
