CBA Chairman: Inflation in Azerbaijan expected to be 5.8% in 2025

Optimism is observed in the expectations of economic growth, said the Chairman of the Central Bank, Taleh Kazimov, during the discussion of the draft law "On the 2025 State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan" at the meeting of the Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship Committee of the Parliament held today, Paralel.Az reports.

He said that the economic growth forecasts of most of our country's trade partners have increased by the end of the year: "Our analyzes show that the 12-month inflation indicators were also affected by our anti-inflation measures. The inflation forecast of the Central Bank until the end of 2024 is 5.1 percent. In July, this indicator was 5.4%. Taking into account the reduction of inflationary pressures, the CBA also eased its monetary policy quantitatively. CBA has sharply reduced the volume of sterilization operations starting from this year. The financial stability policy of the Central Bank is aimed at the stable operation of financial markets. In 2024, the access to finance of the population and entrepreneurs was kept in mind. According to the forecasts, we can say that inflation in Azerbaijan is expected to be 5.8 percent in 2025."
