President's Assistant, Foreign Minister discuss Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process with Ambassadors of Muslim countries

 

Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov, together with the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev, met with Ambassadors of Muslim countries accredited in Azerbaijan, the Ministry noted on X, Paralel.Az reports.

Foreign Ministry stated that the guests were briefed about and responded questions regarding the perspectives on bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Islamic world, the post-conflict regional situation, Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, as well as Azerbaijan's vision and priorities for the COP29.

In a post on X, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted that they had a comprehensive exchange with Ambassadors of Muslim countries accredited in Azerbaijan about bilateral relations and cooperation within a number of regional and international organisations.

The Minister stated that during the meeting, peace and normalisation process with Armenia, as well as the remaining obstacles, such as Armenia's ongoing territorial claims against Azerbaijan in the Constitution and other legislative acts of this country, increasing militarisation trends in Armenia were discussed.

Azerbaijan's perspective on a number of topics regarding COP29, such as NCQG, Presidency Action Agenda, etc. were also elaborated, the Minister added.
