Azerbaijani MES' amphibious plane, involved in extinguishing forest fires in Türkiye, returns to its country -VIDEO
The "BE-200ÇS" amphibious aircraft of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan, which was sent to Türkiye to help extinguish forest fires in the Republic, in accordance with the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, has returned to its country, the Ministry told Paralel.Az.
According to the report, the "BE-200ÇS" amphibious aircraft, which joined the measures to fight forest fires from August 18, 2024, carried out firefighting operations in the directions of Muğla - Ula, Bolu – Gerede, Uşak - Eşme, Akhisar - Taşkuyucak, Balıkesir - Edremit, Manisa - Alasehir, Izmir - Urla, Berqama, Foça, Aliağa, Kemalpaşa – Kamberler.
About 400 ton of water was poured into the fire pits within the framework of measures to combat forest fires.
The amphibious plane, which performed the assigned tasks with high professionalism and successfully extinguished the fires in cooperation with the local firefighting forces, landed at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport today at around local time 14:40.
