Türkiye's Saadet Party founder Recai Kutan passes away
The founding chairman of Türkiye's Saadet Party, Recai Kutan, has passed away at the age of 94, Paralel.Az reports citing Railly News.
“Our Founding Chairman of the Saadet Party, our High Advisory Board Member, and ESAM Chairman, our Esteemed Elder Recai Kutan, has passed away. Our condolences to our nation and community," the party said in a statement.
Recai Kutan was known as one of the important names of the conservative and nationalist movement in Türkiye throughout his political life. Born in 1930, Kutan entered politics at a young age and took part in the establishment of the National Salvation Party. He later became known as one of the names that laid the foundations of the Felicity Party.
