"Average price for oil for this year is comfortable for Azerbaijan," Director of the Statistics Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Samir Nasirov said during a briefing held at the Bank, Paralel.Az-Economics reports.

He also clarified the issue regarding devaluation expectations: "Central Bank must look at fundamental indicators to conduct an analysis. The most important element of fundamental indicators is the balance of payments, which reflects the country's payment balance. Despite the large volume of liabilities fulfilled in the first half of this year, reserve assets increased by $648 million. Additionally, the positive indicators related to the foreign trade balance clarify the overall picture for us. Therefore, I do not consider the circulated information to be accurate."
