Azerbaijan's CEC Chairman to monitor referendum in Kazakhstan
A large delegation led by Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mazahir Panahov has visited Kazakhstan to observe the referendum scheduled for October 6, 2024, Central Election Commission's Media and Communications Department told Paralel.Az.
The visit is taking place at the invitation of Chairman of Kazakhstan’s Central Election Commission Nurlan Äbdirov. During the visit, M. Panahov is expected to meet with his Kazakh counterpart, other officials, and representatives of organizations and election management bodies from various countries involved in observing the referendum. Discussions will focus on the development of relations in election-related areas, cooperation opportunities, and matters of mutual interest.
Note that Azerbaijan's Central Election Commission representatives will participate in the referendum observation as part of the missions from the Organization of Turkic States and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
On the voting day, the delegation will monitor polling stations in Kazakhstan's capital and other regions.
