On September 27, 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with Foreign Minister of Germany Annalena Baerbock within the framework of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, Paralel.Az reports citing the press service of MFA.

The current bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Germany, as well as the current situation in the region during the post-conflict period, were discussed at the meeting.

The counterpart was also provided with detailed information about the work done within the framework of Azerbaijan's hosting of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov addressed the current situation in the region, the restoration and reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories, and the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia and highlighted that the ongoing territorial claims against Azerbaijan in Armenia's Constitution and legislative documents, as well as the country's rapid militarization, pose threats to the peace agenda.

The meeting also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
