French Foreign Minister reiterates unwavering support for Armenia’s independence and territorial integrity ahead of visit

 

French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné has reiterated support for Armenia’s independence, territorial integrity and aspirations for peace ahead of his visit to the country, Paralel.Az reports citing Armenpress.

Séjourné will visit Armenia September 15-16.

“France stands by its historical partner, friendly country Armenia, and our support for its independence, territorial integrity and aspirations for peace is unwavering,” the French FM said in a video message.

“We have strong cooperation with Armenia, and we are further strengthening it. We support the development of Armenia’s strategic infrastructures to ensure the country’s resilience. We cooperate also in the defense sector. With the France-Armenia initiative we support those who are involved in supporting Armenia,” he added.

The French FM will also visit Moldova.

He said that both Armenia and Moldova, having chosen the path of democracy, independence and towards Europe, are facing unacceptable attempts of destabilization and pressure.
