The President of the Maldives Mohamed Muizzu received the credentials of the Ambassador of Azerbaijan Elchin Huseynli, the office of the President of the Maldives released information in this regard, Paralel.Az reports.

The ambassador was escorted by an orchestra from Republic Square to the Presidential Office.

After the presentation, the president and the ambassador touched upon the issue of strengthening bilateral cooperation. The President also expressed his admiration for Azerbaijan's cultural heritage.

It should be noted that diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Azerbaijan were established on June 15, 2006.
