Turkish-Russian joint patrol resumes in Syria

 

Türkiye and Russia have resumed joint patrols along the northern border of Syria, according to the Ministry of National Defense of Türkiye, Paralel.Az reports.

"The Joint Patrol service, which was conducted in the 'Peace Spring' operation area between Türkiye and Russia and was suspended on October 5, 2023, due to security reasons, has been resumed today," the Ministry said.

According to Türkiye Today, this patrol marks the resumption of such operations after a prolonged hiatus.

The patrol, which consisted of eight military vehicles from both the Russian and Turkish forces, took place along the Al-Darbasiyah route in the countryside of Al-Hasakah. Neither side has confirmed the joint patrol yet.
