No suspected monkeypox cases recorded in Azerbaijan so far, says Health Ministry-UPDATED

 

"So far, no suspected cases of monkeypox have been registered in the territory of Azerbaijan," the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan released information, Paralel.Az reports.

"In this regard, strict epidemiological control is being carried out based on the recommendations of the World Health Organization, and there are appropriate resources for the detection, diagnosis and treatment of persons suspected of infection," the information emphasized.

To date, there have been no cases of monkeypox infection in medical institutions operating under TABIB, it released information in this regard, Paralel.Az reports.

Reported that a sample is taken from a suspected infected patient and sent to the Republican Hygiene and Epidemiology Center operating under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

At present, the medical institutions operating under TABIB have a suitable infrastructure for the treatment of patients. Medical institutions are provided with antiviral drugs.
