Belarus MFA summons Charge d'Affaires of Armenia

"On August 21, 2024 the Charge d'Affaires of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Belarus was invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus," Belarus MFA wrote in its official website, Paralel.Az reports.

"The Armenian diplomat was informed in detail about the act of vandalism committed by a group of persons against the building of the Belarusian Embassy in Yerevan, the damage caused to the Belarusian diplomatic mission and the apparently insufficient measures taken by the Armenian law enforcement agencies to prevent it. The Armenian side is reminded of the obligation of the host state to ensure the safety of the Belarusian diplomatic mission and its property, as well as the security of the diplomatic staff, as stipulated in the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and universally accepted. The Belarusian side assumes that the vandals will be identified, they will compensate the damage inflicted and will be punished in accordance with Armenian legislation," the statement reads.
