Armenia refused Russian FSB's control of communications passing through Zangazur - MFA Spokesperson
“This is another example of Yerevan shifting blame onto others, in this case, Russia...," the Spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova said during a briefing today in response to the Armenian Foreign Ministry's comment on Sergey Lavrov’s statement in Baku that "Armenia is sabotaging the November 10 trilateral statement," Paralel.Az’s Moscow correspondent reports.
According to her, the main thing for Armenia is to blame others for its failures.
Zakharova again reminded the Armenian side of the 9th point of the November 10, 2020, trilateral statement. She noted that the significant work done to open communications got suspended because “Yerevan insisted on inequalities in border control matters and on the presence of Russian border guards on both the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides.”
“Thus, Yerevan refused the Russian Federal Security Service’s Border Service to control the transport flow and effectively froze its participation in the working group,” the Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson stressed.
