"They took my wife's bag and rolex model watches from our arms and left the area, inflicting minor injuries on us. The police immediately came to the area and started investigating the incident. It is also unfortunate that the price of our stolen watches has been exaggerated in the press to an extreme extent and many times. Although our watches are Rolex, they are metallic and simple models. About this incident of attack, the Belgian side was also officially addressed by our embassy and measures were requested to be taken within the framework of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations to ensure the immunity of diplomats and to prevent such attacks against them," the statement said.
